To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their current institution and be nominated by their sports information director. All Division III institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island and West Virginia make up District II.
