Bethany College will hold
its fifth-annual Fall Symposium on Nov. 1-2 at the Mountainside Conference
Center. This year’s theme will focus on “Life Stages: the
Circle of Life,” and will feature a keynote speaker for each day as
well as a number of workshops.
Co-hosts for the event include West Virginia Northern Community
College, the West Virginia University Masters of Social Work Program,
Wheeling branch, and the Brooke County Health Department.
More than 100 professionals, including social workers, nurses,
counselors, addictions specialists and domestic violence prevention
specialists are expected to attend the symposium. One difference in the
schedule this year will be the addition of tracks. Following the keynote
presentation each morning, each series of sessions will feature an
offering on infants/children, teens/young adults and middle/older
adults.
