Bethany College has once
again ranked among first-tier national liberal arts colleges according to
a report released this morning by U.S. News and World Report. Bethany is
the only West Virginia institution to be included in the first-tier
listings.
Not only is Bethany the highest ranked national liberal arts
college in West Virginia, but out of the 36 colleges in the Appalachian
College Association, only five were listed in the national liberal arts
college study, of which Bethany ranked third. National liberal arts
colleges are undergraduate liberal arts colleges emphasizing undergraduate
education and awarding at least half of their degrees in the arts and
sciences.
