Bethany’s 15th annual community-wide “Día de los Muertos” (“Day of the Dead”) celebration was held to rave reviews on October 26. Sponsored by the Spanish Club and led by Club President Meghan Philp, the cultural celebration commemorated the event that is celebrated on November 1-2 each year throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
Authentic Mexican-style food and drink, prayers, poetry and music in Spanish were enjoyed by a large number of Bethany students, staff and faculty. The event was organized by Joe Lovano, Anju Ramjee, Harald Menz and Kim Lawless.
