Bethany Residents Participate in Halloween Parade, Costume Contest

The Town of Bethany hosted, along with the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta, the Bethany Halloween Party on October 31. The event was held in the basement of the Bethany Memorial Church. Bethany VFD fire truck led the parade through Bethany before ending at the church, where the Halloween Party was held. Attendees enjoyed cider, cookies and caramel apples, while participants competed for the titles of Best Costume, Scariest, and Most Original. The Alpha Xi’s chose winners Sailor Girl, Dracula, the Duck Rider, Medieval Knight, Zombie Farmer Girl and the Extreme WVU Fan.

The age 1-10 winners were: Best Costume - Lillianna Hardt as Sailor Girl;  Scariest – Lucas Neel as Dracula;  Most Original – Kadence Nielson as Duck Rider. For the age category 11 and older:  Best Costume – Jarod Bowman as a Knight;  Scariest – Abby Ayers as Zombie Farmer Girl;  Most Original – Adam Long as Extreme WVU Fan.
