Wiley Cash, Assistant Professor of English, has been awarded two month-long fellowships to the MacDowell Colony and Yaddo, where he will work on his second novel. Notable alumni of MacDowell and Yaddo include Willa Cather, James Baldwin, Flannery O’Connor, Alice Walker and Jonathon Franzen. Cash's first novel, "The Rain Barrel," is scheduled to be released by William Morrow/HarperCollins in early 2012.
