A release party will be held on the
Bethany College campus for Assistant Professor of English, Brandon
Lamson’s 2012 Juniper Prize winning collection of poetry
“Starship Tahiti” from 4-6 p.m. on April 12 in the academic
parlor.
Lamson will give a reading of his work and will be followed by a
reception where collection will be available for purchase and signing.
Words & Music Bookshop from Stratford Springs in Wheeling will also be
selling books at the event.
“Starship Tahiti” is Lamson’s first book of
poems. A 2010 graduate of the University of Houston Creative Writing
Program, he is also the author of a chapbook of poems titled
“Houston Gothic,” which was published in 2007. His work is
also in a forthcoming analogy to be published this year titled
“Poets for Living Waters: An International Response to the BP Oil
Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.”
