The issue contains an article, co-authored by Dr. Mort Gamble and Laura Cramblet, which chronicles the history of the Wellsburg-to-Bethany trolley line. The railway served Brooke County from 1908 through the mid-1920’s. Several historic photos of the trolley and Bethany from that period are included.
Gamble’s article on circus life in West Virginia was published in the fall 2009 issue of the magazine.
