Alumni Directory Update
Publishing Concepts, Inc (PCI), the company printing the new 2012 Alumni
Directory, has informed the College that the directory has now shipped and should be arriving within a few days. Associate Professor of Theatre Tracie Lynn Duncan Nominated
Associate Professor of Theatre Tracie Lynn Duncan was recently
nominated for Best Set Design and Best Lighting Design for the 2012
Broadway World Columbus Awards (http://columbus.broadwayworld.com/vote2012region.cfm#sthash.8TsQueVc.dpbs)
for her work on the 2012 summer production of King Lear. In addition
to the recognition given to Duncan, senior Patrick McGregor II received
three nominations, including a nomination in the Person to Watch
category.
Duncan is slated to design for the Clockwise Theatre in Waukegan, Ill., a member of the Chicago Area Theatre group, for their upcoming productions of Cars and Quinceaneras by Susan Lieberman and the world premiere of Party in the Kitchen written by Madelyn Sergel.

2013 Girls High Schools FUTSAL Tournament to be Held
The Bethany College Women’s Soccer Program will host on Jan.5-6 the
2013 Girls High School FUTSAL Tournament in the Thomas Phillips Johnson
Recreation Center on Bethany’s campus. The tournament is open to all
girls’ soccer players in grades 9-12.
The tournament will be played using FUTSAL goals and the lines on the court as boundaries. The tournament will be a six-on-six format and games will last 32 minutes and will have a continuous clock. Each team will be allowed a maximum of 10 girls on the roster. The cost of the tournament is $250 per team.

Fields Leads Forum on Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness
Dr. Darin E. Fields, vice president for academic affairs and dean of
the faculty, recently attended the Council of Independent Colleges’
Chief Academic Officer's Institute in San Antonio. The Institute
focused on the core responsibilities of the chief academic officer and
the importance of strong academic leadership in today’s changing higher
education environment. Fields led a forum on Assessment and
Institutional Effectiveness for new Chief Academic Officers
participating in the New CAO workshop.
