Gamble Publishes Book Reviews in National Publication
Dr. Mort Gamble published two book reviews in the
November-December issue of The White Tops, the official
magazine and journal of the Circus Fans Association of America.
Gamble reviewed two current biographical works of circus
personalities: hand balancer Johnny Yong and the late sword
swallower, tattoo artist and fire eater, the “Human Volcano,”
Capt. Don Leslie. Gamble, a long-time historian and former
circus employee, serves as a volunteer board member for the
Circus Fans. He visited with circus performers in
Sarasota, Fla., during the holiday break.

MLK Celebration Dinner Held
The Office of Student Life, in honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., held a
Celebration Dinner on January 16 in the Bethany Club. The Rev.
Thomas Johnson Jr., the Co-founder and Head of the Neighborhood Academy
in Pittsburgh spoke to the crowd on the importance of service and
giving back to the community.

Seglin Named “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior 2012”
Jeffrey Seglin ’78 has been named to Trust Across America’s second annual list of Top Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior for 2012.
Seglin, a lecturer in Public Policy, writes “The Right Thing,” a weekly column on general ethics that has been syndicated by Tribune Media Services since September 2010. From 2004 through 2010, he wrote an ethics column distributed by The New York Times Syndicate. He is also the author of The Right Thing: Conscience, Profit and Personal Responsibility in Today’s Business.
The list seeks to bring attention to individuals who exemplify trustworthy business behavior.
